In the Healthcare Science Pathway, students have the opportunity to explore different areas of healthcare through a structured course sequence. The first required course is Introduction to Healthcare, followed by Essentials of Healthcare. After successfully completing these two foundational classes, students can choose to complete the pathway by enrolling in either Sports Medicine or Allied Health. My name is Samantha Kinnett, and I am an MSN and RN. I am a registered nurse. Throughout my nursing career, I have gained experience in the Emergency Room, ICU, Cardiac ICU, and Labor & Delivery. I earned my Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. I later obtained my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Nursing Education from Walden University. Additionally, I serve as the HOSA Advisor for Worth County High School. The Healthcare Science Pathway helps guide students in exploring various healthcare careers and discovering their interests in the medical field. HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is a national organization designed to empower future healthcare professionals by fostering leadership, technical skills, and a commitment to quality healthcare through education, collaboration, and hands-on experience.
